POSTPONED TO 1-2 SEPTEMBER! Test & Validation Symposium

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Unfortunately, we hear from many of the people invited to the Symposium that their travel/visit possibilities are restricted due to the risk of Covid-19 (Corona) virus. As a consequence of this, we have been forced to postpone the Symposium originally announced to 1-2 April 2020. THE NEW DATE IS 19-20 MAY 2021 - by which date we hope and expect that travels and visits are safe and unrestricted again. Meanwhile, we apologize for any inconvenience and very much hope that you still wish to attend the Symposium in May.

We are excited to invite you to our Test & Validation Symposium in Denmark, 19-20 May 2021.

The Test and Validation Symposium is a new initiative to bring together professionals from the wind industry and other demanding industies and discuss standardized and accredited testing procedures.

The Symposium is held at PolyTech Test & Validation’s two testing facilities in Denmark, and keynote speakers from the wind industry will cover every aspect of testing and validation.

Keynote speakers are:

Morten Vanggaard of PEAK Wind, who will give an insight in operational blade integrity and impact on business case.

Jakob Søbye of MHI Vestas Offshore Wind, who will unfold the importance of early testing, MVOW’s test strategy, test supplier cooperation and offshore reliability demands.

Christian Fenselau of Vestas, who will talk about how testing at Vestas contributes in the development of new wind turbines and ensures high quality design.

In addition, Søren F. Madsen, Manager of PolyTech Advanced Engineering & Simulation, and Søren Lorenzen, Lead Test Engineer of PolyTech Test & Validation, will give presentations about lightning and material testing.

Day 1 of the Symposium takes place at PolyTech Lightning Test Center in Herning, Denmark.

The test center is the largest of its kind in the world and accomodates full-scale tests on blades, nacelles and other structures.

Day 2 will start at Musikhuset Esbjerg and move on to the PolyTech Material Test Center in Bramming, a test center offering a wide choice of mechanical and environmental tests.

Both test centers are ISO 17025:2017 accredited by DANAK, the Danish Accreditation Fund.
